How
does the backup work?
IRG
Backup has been designed with ease of use in mind. Simply
download and follow the installation wizard and IRG Backup
will be backing up your important data in no time.
The wizard will suggest files that you may wish to backup
and allow you to specify additional folders and files to backup.
The wizard will suggest a backup schedule.
Following
the selected schedule your data is copied to a remote off
site secure location. If your computer is not on during the
specified backup time IRG Backup will try again automatically the next time your computer starts. The remote server automatically creates
a mirror image on another remote secure server located in
a separate building.
If
we notice that your files haven’t been backed up for
a while you will be sent an email. You may just be on holidays
or your data hasn’t changed but if there is a problem
you will be alerted. If we receive no reply to the email you
will receive a courtesy call.
Remote
access to your files
Once
your files have been copied to our server you will be able
to access them anywhere you have Internet access via a secure
128 bit encrypted web site. This feature is handy for people
who wish to work on or refer to a document stored on their
office computer while they are at home or on circuit.
What
can I protect?
IRG
Backup will suggest documents and folders for you to protect
but you can also choose to protect any files you wish provided
the total backup size does not exceed your backup plan (standard plan is 1 GB). Depending on how
many files you select and your Internet access the initial
backup may take a while but once the files have been transferred
IRG Backup will monitor them for changes and only upload the
files that have changed since your last backup.
How
is my Data protected?
With
several years experience in managing network security
you can be assured that
you’re valuable data is in safe hands. Your data is
encrypted using 128 bit data encryption. Remote access to
your documents is via a secure web site which is protected
by the latest intrusion detection systems and firewall technology.
Not only is your data mirrored to a remote secured server
located in a separate building, it is also stored in an encrypted format meaning that not even our team can view your stored data.
How
do I recover my files?
If
disaster has struck and you need to recover your files simply
use the "Restore Files" option in the autobackup client program
which will copy the missing files from the backup server to your pc.
What
type of system do I need to run autobackup?
Autobackup
requires Windows 95 or higher to run and Internet Explorer 5+ to remotely access your files. Due to the limited speed of dial up Internet access, it can take a long time to transfer your data. For optimum performance it is recommend that IRG Backup is used with a high speed Internet connection such as the Vicbar network or cable/ADSL.
Dial up Internet accounts are acceptable to remotely access your files but isn't recommended for backing your data up.

IRG
Backup is available as a monthly subscription service from $35pm.
All prices are in AUD and include GST. There are no minimum contract periods.
The monthly charges vary depending on the volume of data you wish to backup.
Our standard plan is $35pm which allows you to store up to 1 GB on our server.
The Moderate Plan is $60pm allows you to store up to 2 GB on our server.
The Heavy Plan is $110pm allows you to store up to 4 GB on our server.
The Power User Plan allows you to store up to 7 GB on our server at $175pm.
The Extreme Plan allows you to store up to 15 GB on our server at $335pm.
In most cases the standard plan is ample for document storage. You can change plans at any time.
The
charges will be automatically debited from your credit card. We accept Visa and MasterCard.
If
at anytime you wish to cancel your service simply fill out
the cancellation form and send it to IRG Solutions, allowing
2 weeks for processing.
